Applying for Flood Advice

Prior to applying for a planning permit with your local municipal council, flood advice can be obtained directly from the Goulburn Broken CMA by submitting a completed application form (below) with a processing fee. The Goulburn Broken CMA will provide flood advice in writing.

2024-2025 Floodplain advice application form

Please Note: Effective Monday 14th April 2025 until Tuesday 22nd April 2025, requests for Premium Service Flood Advice applications cannot be processed within the 3 full business day timeframe due to staff leave. Requests for Standard and Complex Floodplain Advice applications will still be received during this time.

Premium Service Flood Advice requests will resume from Tuesday 22nd April 2025.

Effective 1st July 2024, new fees and charges will apply for floodplain advice issued by the Goulburn Broken CMA. Our Schedule of Fees and Charges has been revised for 2024-2025 and updated fees apply. The Schedule of Fees and Charges have been reviewed as per the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Pricing for Value Guide and are in line with the State Government’s expectation for cost recovery.
