Bogies and Beyond

The Goulburn Broken CMA has received funding from the Victorian Government’s Our Catchments Our Communities strategy to work with the Strathbogie Ranges community to develop a natural resource management plan that considers possible future climate change scenarios, and prioritises a range of actions that will make sure the natural features the community values can be improved.

Constraints Management Strategy

As part of the Basin Plan, the Victorian Government contracted the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority to lead regional input (community engagement and technical studies) into the development of the Goulburn River Constraints Management Business Case between May 2015 and February 2016.

Environmental Water

Environmental water is water legally set aside to protect or improve the environmental values of wetlands and streams. Environmental water entitlements are held by the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH), the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder (CEWH) and the Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA).

Macquarie Perch

Work is being undertaken to improve stream health and fish habitat for the nationally endangered Macquarie perch.

Strathbogie Streams

The Goulburn Broken CMA is working closely with the community to deliver direct on ground riparian improvement works targeting streams flowing from the Strathbogie Ranges.
