Past Projects

The Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority has hosted several employment programs to support individuals and communities impacted by natural disasters and industry down turns.
The Goulburn Broken CMA has received funding from the Victorian Government’s Our Catchments Our Communities strategy to work with the Strathbogie Ranges community to develop a natural resource management plan that considers possible future climate change scenarios, and prioritises a range of actions that will make sure the natural features the community values can be improved.
Reflective of RAP traditional owner areas, the Goulburn Broken catchment has been divided into two on-ground works project areas, Northern Plains (Yorta Yorta Country) and Southern Uplands (Taungurung Country). These projects will enable GB CMA to sustain momentum to protect riparian condition and improve frontage management with waterway grant support to landholders. Both projects aim to sustain outcomes of past investment and assist new landholders to be good stewards of our highly valued waterways for ecological, cultural, social and economic benefits.
Expressions of interest from community groups and land managers of public spaces along waterways to improve and care for waterway environments are always welcome, as Goulburn Broken CMA values opportunities to support ecological and social outcomes where on-ground works will compliment co-investment (in-kind and/or financial).
