Work is being undertaken to improve stream health and fish habitat for the nationally endangered Macquarie perch.

Protecting Macquarie Perch in the Goulburn Broken Catchment

Macquarie PerchOnce widespread, the Macquarie perch species has declined dramatically since the 1920s, with remaining populations relatively small and isolated. Seven of the 11 known populations of Macquarie perch (Macquaria australasica) in Victoria are found in the Goulburn Broken catchment.
