Landcare Links January 2022

ISSUE 01 / 31.01.2022

Are you thinking about diversifying your farming income? Round 2 of the Carbon + Biodiversity Pilot is still open in our region.

This round builds on the success and learnings of round 1 to further test market arrangements for farmers to be rewarded for their biodiversity stewardship. Projects contracted under the Pilot will receive biodiversity payments over the course of the project for planting, managing and maintaining native species in on-farm works.

Farmers will be able to take a biodiversity payment from the government or make a commercial arrangement directly with a willing buyer. Read more about the pilot and how to apply here. For information specific to our region, please contact Kerstie on 0437 310 840.

Warm Regards,
Kerstie
