Landcare Links January 2021

Message from the Regional Agriculture Landcare Facilitator

Welcome to 2021!

I was lucky enough to spend a few days in East Gippsland over the January holiday period. I was surprised by the impact the fires of 2019-2020 had on the coastline and how different it looked. I was also impressed that despite the severity of the fires new green growth was prolific and the survival of the Eucalypt trees was evidenced by the re-growth.

In 2021, our own social re-growth is occurring after such an unusual 2020.  As the Regional Ag Landcare Facilitator, I am looking forward to a year where I can spend some time with landholders at workshops, field days and on farms. We have a number of workshops for people to attend in person, as well as continuing on with some online events. There will be plenty of opportunity for farmers and landholders to re-connect.

Let me know if you have requests for workshops or field days you would be interested in.

Warm regards, Kerstie
