Pasture: What is it and how to increase its value

On Tuesday 9th November from 12.30pm-1.30pm online, Greg Bekker from Ag Vic will be facilitating an interactive discussion with farmers about their current pasture, understanding why is looks the way it does and how to increase its value for stock and soil health.

Passion into Action: how women create change workshop

On Thursday 11th November from 10.00am-12.00pm online, Goulburn Broken CMA are hosting a workshop on restoring land - how women create change. It is designed to connect, encourage and inspire women caring for our land. Cassie Leatham, Anika Molesworth and Sally Murfet sharing their stories.

Grass and Wildflower Identification and Walk

On Saturday 13 November from 9.30am, Yea River Catchment Landcare Group are meeting at McKenzie Flora Reserve, Mount Pleasant Rd, Alexandra (Directions:   https://goo.gl/maps/bxfvXnh9xXFN1QBf8) where Cath Olive will guide you through McKnezie Flora Reserve at the height of its Spring glory. It will be an opportunity to have grasses identified so feel free to bring your bagged and sealed samples for viewing.

Drone Demonstration for Weed Management

Practical Erosion Control Field day with Agriculture Victoria - Hilldene

On Saturday 4th December from 2.00pm-4.00pm at Hilldene, Brad Costin from Ag Vic will be joining us in the paddock to discuss erosion management principles. Come prepared to join us in a practical exercise to manage small scale erosion, getting the hands on experience needed for your own property.

Threatened Species Strategy Action Plan - Priority Species Grants

This grant program provides funding to undertake activities that will protect, enhance, rehabilitate, recover and/or restore priority species and their habitats. Applications are due by 13th December 2021 5.00pm.

 

Stronger Community Grant Program Round 7

the Stronger Communites Programme provides each of the 151 Federal electorates with $150,000 to fund small capital projects. These projects aim to improve loval community participation and contribute to vibratnt viable communities. Federal Members of Parliament (MP's) identify potential projects and invite applications from their electorates.
