Nature@Work - Farming with Benefits     Field Day

On Friday 7th May, 9.30am-12.00pm, Australian National University will be coupled with a soil scientist at Matt's farm in Devenish to discuss the science of how native vegetation contributes to a healthy resilient farming system.

Acid soils, pastures, moisture probes and deep core soil sampling

On Friday 7th May 2021 from 10am-12pm Strathbogie SoilCare members are sharing what they have learnt from their trial site over the past 5 years. Damien Gerrans will be presenting information in the afternooon from 12.30pm-2.00pm on the soil moisture meter and its use.

Hillslope Erosion & Landclass Fencing Farm Walk 

On Thursday 13th May from 10am-12pm in Maindample, a farm walk and talk will be held with Kerri Goschnick. He will be discussing techniques of landclass fencing for erosion control.

Fungi Festivals - Bioluminescence

On Friday 21st May, 6pm-9pm at in Kirkland Ave, Euroa, there will be a FREE outdoor digital projection event streaming across buildings in Binney St. Bioluminescence celebrates the importance of Fungi in healthy ecosystems.

Young Farmers Scholarships open for applications

Agriculture Victoria is offering Upskill and Invest - Young Farmers Scholarships. Each scholarship recipient is eligible to receive up to $5000 for training and study, followed by $5000 to put their new skills into practice.

You need to be aged 35 or younger and have at least two years' on-farm experience.
