Expressions of interest from community groups and land managers of public spaces along waterways to improve and care for waterway environments are always open. EOIs will be considered for support where community groups and/or land managers of public space along waterways identify CMA delivery of works will complement or facilitate co-invested improvements.
Opportunity exists for community groups to drive projects, leverage co-contribution and engage more people in the riparian environment. Project proposals that improve relationships and understanding of waterway management and achieve riparian outcomes in public spaces will be considered for CMA work assistance.
Project proposals are invited through expressions of interest using the template link below and submitted to reception@gbcma.vic.gov.au. Please aim to detail proposals within 1000 words (two pages).
Proposals should identify on-ground works and/or engagement activities GB CMA can provide as partners to improve awareness and management of riparian environments. Funds available for CMA contributed specialised works varies annually but should not exceed $20,000.
Proposals received will be prioritised with consideration to the environmental outcomes to be achieved for the stream, the cost share, community support and longevity of the project works.
The following questions are to be considered in project proposals:
- What will be the outcome of this project when delivered? Detail the activities and describe the changes anticipated.
- Who and how many people/groups are involved in delivery of this project?
- What are others contributing? In-kind and/or financially, with suggested delivery timeframes.
- What long-term maintenance measures are in place? Who and how is this resourced?
- How many and who are the beneficiaries? Estimate number of people and groups affected and how they will be engaged. social outcomes where on-ground works will compliment co-investment (in-kind and/or financial).
