Fire Recovery Program

The Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority is supporting landholders to help protect and rehabilitate waterways and wetlands impacted by the January 2026 fires.

Through funding from the Commonwealth and Victorian governments, under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA), support is available from Goulburn Broken CMA, until 30 June 2027 or until the funding has been exhausted.

Recovery works will be tailored to individual situations through property assessments and discussion with a Goulburn Broken CMA Project Officer.

Works may include one or more of the following activities, which are required to be completed by 30 June 2027:

  • Stock management: Fencing repair, replacement or new fencing
  • Establishment of off‑stream stock watering points
  • Riparian and biodiversity enhancement
