Goulburn Broken Regional Floodplain Management Strategy (2018-2028)

The Victorian Government requires Catchment Management Authorities to develop and periodically review Regional Floodplain Management Strategies, in partnership with councils, the Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) and their local communities. A mid-term review of the Strategies was completed in mid-2023.

A mid-term review and Strategy Renewal 

A mid-term review of the Goulburn Broken Regional Floodplain Management Strategy (2018-2028) has been completed that led to its renewal that can be found below:

The 2018 Strategy is still a resource for background information. The Strategy Renewal should be used to align future actions and investments across the Goulburn Broken Catchment.

Interim Update 2026

The above mid-term review and Strategy Renewal (2023) has been further updated to include approaches to include impacts of climate change and new emerging priorities.
