Friday 29 May, 2020
Chris Cumming has been appointed as the new CEO of the Goulburn Broken CMA, commencing Monday June 1.

Goulburn Broken CMA Board Chair Helen Reynolds said Ms Cumming had extensive experience and expertise in the natural resource management (NRM) and agriculture sectors.

“Chris is an experienced NRM CEO who will bring great skills and new perspectives to the role,” Ms Reynolds said.

“She has expertise in strategic planning, building partnerships and Indigenous engagement as well as excellent technical skills and experience in the water and agriculture sectors.

“Most recently Chris has been working in regional NSW as General Manager of the Central Tablelands Local Land Services, which delivers a range of agriculture, NRM, emergency management and biosecurity services to farmers.”

Ms Cumming started her career with the then Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment in East Gippsland and has spent much of her working life in southern NSW, including senior roles with the Murray Local Land Service and Holbrook Landcare Network.

“While Chris brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise, she is keen to continue the Goulburn Broken CMA’s great track record in working closely with the community and our partners to build the resilience of the region’s natural resources and people,” Ms Reynolds said.

Ms Reynolds also acknowledged and thanked Acting CEOs Carl Walters and Eileen Curtis for their leadership since former CEO Chris Norman’s departure in February.
