The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) is inviting applications for the Victorian Government Landcare Grants, totaling $3.55 million.
Grants of up to $20,000 for projects and $500 for support can help fund on-ground works, community education and engagement activities, group development and administrative functions including insurance, incorporation and operational costs.
Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority acting Regional Landcare Coordinator, Karen Brisbane-Bullock, said last year the Victorian Government Landcare Grants funded 23 projects in the catchment.
“Projects ranged from soil health events, purchase of equipment to monitor nest boxes and weed control,” she said.
I encourage our local environmental volunteer groups and networks to put in an application for this year’s funding and look forward to a wide range of projects being considered.
Grant applications are open until Thursday 23 April 2026.
