It's on again, the annual Photo Competition to gather photos for the 2011 calendar. Held each year, the photo competition is a fantastic way for local people in the Broken Boosey Conservation Management Network (BB CMN) region to showcase their photographic skills.

The theme for this year's calendar is "Places and Pastimes". Whether it is bike riding, canoeing, bushwalking, fishing, picnicking or bird watching, the public lands around the BB CMN region provide the perfect environment to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors, and provide the perfect opportunity to take a few photos while you're at it!

Whether it is the Broken Boosey State Park, Kinnaird's Wetland, Moodies Swamp, Tungamah Swamp, or one of the many Parks Victoria natural feature reserves, why not take along the camera and capture your favourite image. You could have your picture published in the 2011 calendar, and win a prize at the same time.

Please email your photos (JPEG image no larger than 5MB) to the Broken Boosey Conservation Management Network Coordinator Janice Mentiplay-Smith at the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority janicem@gbcma.vic.gov.au by the end of August 2010. Alternatively hard copies can be delivered to the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority, 168 Welsford St, Shepparton.

The Goulburn Broken CMA acknowledges and respects First Nations people and the deep connection they have with their land and waters.

We acknowledge the Yorta Yorta and Taungurung people and their ancestors/forbears as Traditional Owners of the land and waters in the Goulburn Broken Catchment (and beyond). We value our ongoing partnerships with Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation and Taungurung Land and Waters Council for the health of Country and its people.

We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge and recognise the primacy of Traditional Owners obligations, rights and responsibilities to use and care for their traditional lands and waters.
