Community Education Grants
The Broken Goulburn Implementation Committee Community Education Grants support community education and awareness of environment related catchment issues.
The grants of up to $4,000 are provided to non-profit community groups and schools to assist them to promote catchment issues within their community.
Examples of past projects include:
- Erecting information boards along Hollands Creek to increase awareness of its environmental significance - Mollyullah Tatong Land Protection Group
- Developing, printing and distributing the Restoring riparian health in the upper Sevens Creek booklet - Strathbogie Tableland Landcare Group
- Production and installation of detailed signage identifying local indigenous plant species in the Highlands area - Highlands Landcare Group
- Production of threatened species cards for distribution at schools during learning days - Dookie Land Management Group
- School bus tour of significant environmental sites with associated learning activities - Murrindindi Schools Cluster
New and innovative projects in catchment education are highly desirable and priority is given to projects that have wide community benefit and widespread promotion of catchment issues. Projects that develop partnerships between groups and the GB CMA are encouraged.
The Community Education Grants open in June and close at the end of July. Successful applicants are notified by October.

The 2009/10 round closes on Friday 31st July.
