Biodiversity Integration Strategy for the Goulburn Broken Catchment
The last decade has seen a dramatic increase in concern for the plight of biodiversity and the ramifications of its decline.
This concern has been matched by increased investment in biodiversity, which has resulted in better decisions at international, national, state, catchment and local scales.
The Biodiversity Integration Strategy for the Goulburn Broken Catchment (BIS) is the next logical step to improve decisions affecting biodiversity in our Catchment. It documents current thinking on the many evolving pieces of the biodiversity management jigsaw and puts them together to form a concise picture.
The purpose of the BIS is to achieve biodiversity outcomes by increasing the capacity of stakeholders to make better decisions and implement them. This entails using funds more wisely and encouraging increased investment in biodiversity.
The BIS is currently being developed and will be available here when completed.
